The difference

Where BackPR is different

Free for nonprofit camps

Nonprofit camps pay nothing to BackPR. Circuitree prices its Pro and Enterprise plans by quote and publishes no nonprofit pricing.

No BackPR fee at checkout

BackPR never adds its own fee to what families pay. Circuitree's help center shows camps how to pass its per-registration fee on to families.

Card rates you can look up

For nonprofits, BackPR payments run on Stripe at Stripe's standard, published rates with nothing added. Circuitree also processes on Stripe but charges the rates in each customer's agreement, which aren't published.

Free onboarding and data import

Setup and data import are free at BackPR. Circuitree charges implementation and consultation fees (amounts not published), and setup for enterprise-sized camps generally takes three to six months, with support moving your data in.

In fairness

What Circuitree does well

Circuitree has served camps for more than 25 years and runs multi-site organizations in one database, with staff access by location, 100+ built-in reports that can run on a schedule, group registration where an organization holds spots and each attendee registers, and follow-up on unfinished registrations. It includes cabin assignments, health forms, check-in matched to camper photos, and the Bunk1 family app with photo galleries and facial recognition; Enterprise adds transportation, activity scheduling, point of sale and guest groups.
