Where registration gets hard
Auditions run on email
Audition times, photos and conflict calendars arrive in separate emails, and the director builds the schedule by hand.
Fees come after the cast list
Once the cast is posted, every family has to register, pay the production fee and order a show shirt before the first rehearsal.
Rehearsal changes reach half the cast
A change goes out in a group chat, and the families who aren't in it show up at the wrong time.
How BackPR helps
How it works in BackPR
Audition sign-ups
Families pick an audition time and fill out the audition form, with a photo upload and a list of rehearsal conflicts.
Registration for the cast only
After casting, send cast families a private access code to register for the production, pay the fee or a deposit and add a show shirt.
Rehearsal schedules and reminders
Families see upcoming rehearsals in their account. Reminders and schedule changes go out by email and text to the whole cast or a single family.
Parent volunteer crews
Parents sign up for set building, costumes, backstage or concessions on a volunteer form, and you see who is on each crew.
