The math
How it works
Returning children are last season's enrollment times your expected return rate.
Children who want a spot are returning plus new children. Expected enrollment is that number, up to your spots. Anyone over that is a likely waitlist.
Expected revenue is expected enrollment times your average price after discounts and scholarships.
FAQ
Questions, answered
What's a typical return rate?
It varies a lot by program. Use your own history: divide the number of returning children by last season's total. Track it every year, and your forecasts will get better.
How can we bring more families back?
Open registration to current families first, offer an early-bird price and ask families who didn't return why. Families who sign up for next season before this one ends are the easiest to keep.
