Best camp registration software in 2026: 9 options compared

The right camp software depends on your camp. A day camp and an overnight camp need different tools, and so does a camp that also runs a retreat center. This page doesn't crown a winner. It compares nine options on the same points, in alphabetical order. Every fact about another company comes from its own pricing page, terms or help center, checked between October 10 and 19, 2026, and each option links to its sources.

How we compared

  • Pricing: published prices or quote only.
  • What families pay on top: surcharges, convenience fees and paid extras.
  • Nonprofit terms: a published discount, a free plan or none.
  • Camp tools: health records, cabins and bunks, deposits, transportation and check-in.
  • Contract terms: term length, automatic renewal and notice to cancel.
  • Setup costs: onboarding and data import fees.

FAQ

Questions buyers ask

How much does camp registration software cost?

It depends on the vendor, and five of the eight other options here don't publish prices. UltraCamp lists plans from $275 a month, CampDoc starts at $355 a month and Campwise lists its Camp module at $1,320 a year. CampBrain, Campminder, CampSite, Circuitree and FunJoin quote each camp. BackPR is $0 for registered nonprofits and quoted for other organizations. Card processing fees aren't included in these figures.

Is there free camp registration software for nonprofits?

None of the eight other options here publishes a nonprofit discount. FunJoin mentions a free tier that organizations apply for, but the free tier's terms aren't published. BackPR is free for registered nonprofits, with no subscription and no BackPR fees; Stripe's card processing fees still apply.

Do camp software companies add fees for families?

Six of the eight other options here let the camp add a fee for families: card fees of up to 3% at Circuitree, CampSite and UltraCamp, a convenience fee at CampDoc, a card surcharge at Campminder and a payment fee or card surcharge at FunJoin. Circuitree's help center also shows how to pass its per-registration fee to families, and Deluxe camps on Campminder can sell parents a Photo Season Pass. CampBrain and Campwise don't publish family fees. BackPR never adds its own fee to what families pay; you choose whether to absorb Stripe's processing fees or pass them on.

What should we check before signing a camp software contract?

The term, the renewal date and the notice period. Campminder, FunJoin and UltraCamp renew yearly unless you give 90 days' notice, and after the first 90 days Campminder's agreement can't be ended early except for breach. Ask about setup and import fees too: UltraCamp charges a $1,000 setup fee, FunJoin's data import services start at $495 and CampBrain quotes data imports separately. BackPR has no long-term contract, and onboarding and data import are free.

Can camp software handle health forms and medications?

CampDoc is built around a camp health record, with an electronic medication administration record (eMAR) and clinic logs. CampBrain, Campminder, CampSite and Circuitree include health forms or medical records, UltraCamp includes health tracking and Campwise has a mobile app for medications. BackPR keeps encrypted health profiles, shows allergy and medication alerts on rosters and logs health office visits, medication schedules and immunizations.
