With BackPR, a homeschool co-op can collect family fees, open semester class sign-ups, line up parent volunteers and give every parent teacher a class roster.

Common problems:
- **Class sign-up night is a scramble:** Everyone wants the same science class, the sign-up sheet fills in minutes, and the families who missed it email the board.
- **Every family's total is a math problem:** A family fee, a class fee per child, supply fees and a sibling discount, paid by check, cash or a payment app and added up by the treasurer.
- **Who's teaching, who's helping, who's on cleanup:** Parent duties live on a clipboard, and the coordinator spends the first week of the semester working out who agreed to what.

How BackPR handles it:
- **Family fee first, then classes:** Families pay a yearly or semester family fee as a household membership, and class registration opens only to member families.
- **Semester classes with a fair sign-up:** Open class registration on a set date, cap each class and use a lottery or waitlist for the popular ones. Parents add every child's classes to one cart and pay once.
- **Parent duties on the registration form:** Ask each family to choose a duty as part of registration: teaching, assisting, nursery or cleanup. A separate volunteer form works too. Then pull a list of who signed up for what.
- **Rosters for parent teachers:** Each parent teacher signs in to see only their own class roster, with allergies, emergency contacts and attendance.

Homeschool co-ops that are registered nonprofits use BackPR free, and other co-ops get pricing by quote.

**Is BackPR free for our homeschool co-op?**
If your co-op is a registered nonprofit, yes: no subscription and no BackPR fees. Card payments run on Stripe at Stripe's standard rates, which you can absorb or pass on to families. Other co-ops can request a quote.

**Can we charge one fee per family and another per class?**
Yes. Charge the family fee once as a household membership, then a class fee and any supply fee for each child.

**Can teaching families register first?**
Yes. Give families who teach an access code for early registration before classes open to everyone.

**Can we reuse this semester's classes next semester?**
Yes. Copy classes, prices and forms to the next term, then change the dates and teachers.
