What this is
A small website builder aimed at schools, camps and programmes, plus our help putting your first pages together.
You get a set of page blocks - text, images, staff lists, programme cards, calendars, enquiry forms - that your staff can rearrange and edit in a browser. Forms on the site feed the enquiry list and the message intake, so you are not copying things between tools.
How it works
- We agree what pages you need. For most small schools that is five to ten.
- We set up the site with your logo, colours and content, and hand you the login.
- Your staff edit pages themselves after that. We are there if something breaks.
- Pages are hosted on Cloudflare, which is also where the site you are reading now runs.
Where it stops
- A small site builder. Custom templates, deep navigation and large content models are out of scope.
- Pages can be written in more than one language, and someone at your school writes them. Translation is not included.
- Sites are built with sensible headings, alt text and contrast, and tested with a screen reader. We do not claim WCAG conformance.
Who suits this
A school or camp with no developer and a site that is currently out of date because updating it is somebody else’s job. If you have an in-house web person or an agency you like, you do not need this.
Questions and answers
Can you migrate our existing site? We can move content and set up redirects for a small site. A large migration is more than we would take on.
Can our staff edit pages? Yes. That is the point of it. Accounts can be limited to specific pages.
How long does it take? For a small site, a couple of weeks, mostly waiting on your content. We will give you a date once we have seen what you have.
How fast will the site be? It is a static site on a CDN, so normally quick.
Do you handle domains and email? We can point an existing domain at the site. School email is something you keep running yourself.
