Two small things.

First, help writing an announcement - a new programme, an award, an open day - and publishing it as a news post on your own site, with the structured data that lets search engines read it properly.

Second, BackZee: a small directory of schools and programmes that BackPR runs on its own site. If you want, your announcement gets listed there too.

What BackZee is

BackZee is a directory of schools and programmes that BackPR runs on its own site. It is not a media outlet, and a listing is not press coverage.

Where it stops

• No press office. We write announcements; pitching journalists is not something we do.
• No guaranteed coverage, no awards submissions, no podcast or panel bookings.
• No crisis communications. If something serious happens at your school, you need your own lawyer and your own local advisers.
• No media training, spokesperson coaching, sentiment monitoring or share-of-voice reporting.

Who suits this

A small school that has good news to share, nobody whose job it is to write it up, and no news section on its website.

Questions and answers

Will this get us in the local paper? No. If you want local press, talk to your local paper directly. That usually works better than an intermediary anyway.

What do we actually get? A written announcement, a news page on your own site with the right structured data, and a BackZee listing if you want one.

How many people see BackZee? Very few. It launched recently.

Can you handle a crisis? No. Please do not plan on that.
