# BackPR for Umbrella Organizations

Source: https://backpr.com/partners. Last updated: 2026-10-21.

Statewide afterschool networks, camp associations, faith organizations, youth sports leagues, fiscal sponsors, national youth organizations and PTA councils support programs that all need the same basics: online registration, card payments and a clear record of who signed up. BackPR is free for registered nonprofits. This page explains what you can share, what it costs and how to start.

### Organizations that support many programs
If your organization helps member programs with tools, training or back-office work, this page is for you.

The segments below have different members and different relationships with them. A statewide network may support school-based sites and community centers. A camp association may have nonprofit and for-profit camps. A fiscal sponsor may sit between a project and its funders.

The common ground is the work your members do. They register families, collect payments and keep track of who is coming. A free option for the nonprofits among them is useful, as long as it is clear about who qualifies.

BackPR is not asking for an endorsement, a national rollout or a paid membership. It is offering a free option you can share, a short demo for your team and help with imports when a member switches.

### Find your organization type
Each page explains how that kind of organization works, what member programs need and what your organization can share.

- [Statewide afterschool networks](https://backpr.com/partners/afterschool-networks): Share a free option with the school-based sites, community centers and small providers in your network.

- [National youth organizations](https://backpr.com/partners/national-youth-organizations): Give local affiliates a free option they can adopt on their own, without a national contract or rollout.
- [PTA councils](https://backpr.com/partners/pta-councils): Share a free option with the local PTAs you support that are registered nonprofits, plus a quote path for units that are not.

### What member nonprofits get
These are the facts BackPR can confirm today. Nothing here depends on a partnership being signed.

- **Free for registered nonprofits:** No subscription and no BackPR fees. Free is how BackPR works for registered nonprofits, not a trial.
- **No BackPR cut of payments:** BackPR does not add its own fee to what families pay. Card payments run on Stripe at Stripe's standard rates.
- **Absorb processing or pass it on:** A program can absorb Stripe's processing cost or pass it on as a clearly labeled convenience fee.
- **Free setup and data import:** BackPR sets up the account and brings over families and programs from a current system or spreadsheets.
- **Spanish for families:** Families can register and use parent screens in Spanish. Email support can also answer in Spanish.
- **Free templates and state rules:** Printable PDF and Word templates, plus a state rules library with sources. General information, not legal advice.

Free applies to registered nonprofits in the United States. A member that is not a registered nonprofit can request a quote. Card payments run on Stripe at Stripe's standard rates.

### A free option to share, with no budget line
There is no fee to share BackPR, and no BackPR fees for a registered nonprofit that chooses it. Standard Stripe processing fees apply.

You do not need to run a program, collect payment or manage a roster to share BackPR. Point members to backpr.com/nonprofits and let them decide.

When a member is ready, BackPR sets up the account and imports the data. The member reviews the programs, families and forms before families see them.
