Email & SMS Account Manager
ABOUT THIS ROLE AT BACKPR
At BackPR, we’re passionate about helping brands scale through performance-driven communication. As an Email & SMS Account Manager, you’ll be an essential part of our retention marketing team—building strong client relationships, developing impactful messaging strategies, and helping our clients grow through well-executed campaigns. You’ll lead account performance and be the go-to expert for everything post-sale.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Lead and manage a portfolio of client accounts with confidence, clarity, and care
- Develop and present performance-focused Email & SMS strategies that drive revenue
- Translate client goals into tactical execution by collaborating with our internal team of designers, copywriters, and technical specialists
- Review and QA all campaign assets and automations for accuracy, clarity, and brand alignment
- Analyze data to understand what’s working and where we can improve—then turn that into action
- Communicate results and strategic plans to clients through consistent, proactive touchpoints
- Serve as the client’s strategic advisor, always pushing forward with optimization and growth in mind
- Monitor campaign performance, segment effectively, and ensure technical accuracy
- Maintain a deep understanding of email & SMS platforms (ideally Klaviyo) and how they tie into broader eCommerce goals
WHAT YOU BRING
- 1+ years of experience managing Email & SMS for eCommerce brands
- Strong understanding of eCommerce marketing funnels and retention strategies
- Experience using Klaviyo or similar platforms (Braze, Omnisend, etc.)
- Comfortable managing multiple accounts simultaneously and hitting deadlines
- Excellent communication—clear, proactive, and client-facing
- Strong analytical mindset—you know how to interpret results and use data to guide strategy
- Bonus: Experience with Shopify or other major eCommerce platforms
