RecTrac is Vermont Systems' software for parks and recreation departments, colleges, campgrounds and military youth programs, with WebTrac online registration and PayTrac payments. Pricing isn't published, and its terms don't allow canceling without cause during the initial term. BackPR is free for nonprofits and has no long-term contract.

Where BackPR is different:
- **Free for nonprofits:** Nonprofits pay nothing to BackPR. RecTrac's pricing isn't published, and its terms allow increases of up to 5% a year after the first 12 months.
- **Cancel anytime:** BackPR has no long-term contract, so you can cancel anytime. RecTrac's terms don't allow canceling without cause during the initial term, and after it you need 90 days' written notice before your annual date.
- **Free onboarding and data import:** Setup and data import are free at BackPR. Vermont Systems bills implementation and training at its standard rates, plus travel for on-site training.
- **Registration in English and Spanish:** Families can register in English or Spanish. RecTrac has no built-in translations; organizations enter their own wording for WebTrac pages and receipts.

What RecTrac does well: RecTrac covers activity registration with lotteries; facility, equipment and campsite rentals; passes and memberships; league scheduling; golf tee times; point of sale; venue ticketing and trips. It adds a branded WebTrac site and app, text messaging, business intelligence (InteliTrac) and maintenance management (MainTrac). Vermont Systems also offers integrated payments (PayTrac), its own cloud hosting and on-site training. RecTrac dates back to 1988.
