Where BackPR is different:
- **Free for nonprofits:** Nonprofits pay nothing to BackPR. RecDesk plans start at $3,835 a year, and RecDesk publishes no nonprofit pricing.
- **No yearly subscription:** Nonprofits pay no subscription and can cancel anytime. RecDesk bills yearly, and canceling partway through the year doesn't refund the rest of it.
- **Card rates you can look up:** BackPR payments run on Stripe at Stripe's standard, published rates, and BackPR adds nothing for nonprofits. RecDesk doesn't publish the rates for RecDesk Payments.
- **Registration in English and Spanish:** Families can register in English or Spanish. RecDesk's website and help center don't describe a Spanish version of its community portal.

What RecDesk does well: RecDesk includes every module in every plan, with unlimited users, no per-seat fees or startup costs, plus free training and phone and email support. It covers programs, memberships, facility reservations and check-ins, league scheduling, point of sale, a form builder (FlexForms) and email marketing, adds a recreation website on Standard and higher plans, and holds SOC 2 Type II certification.
