Pike13 is scheduling and billing software for class, lesson and appointment businesses, including kids' programs, from $139 a month billed yearly. Its subscriptions are annual contracts with an early termination fee. BackPR is free for nonprofits, has no long-term contract and lets families register in English or Spanish.

| | BackPR | Pike13 |
|---|---|---|
| Built for | Youth and community programs: camps, after-school, childcare, classes, sports, schools and churches. | Class, lesson and appointment businesses: fitness and sports, music, dance and arts, education, health and wellness, recreation and franchises. Its kids page names after-school programs, tutoring, swim schools, martial arts and dance. |
| Cost for nonprofits | $0 to BackPR: no subscription and no BackPR fees. Stripe's processing fees still apply. | Pike13 offers nonprofits a discount through its sales team; the amount isn't published. |
| Pricing | Nonprofits: $0. Other organizations: custom quote. | Per month, billed yearly or monthly: Essential $139 or $159, Advanced $195 or $225, Premium $249 or $286, with unlimited staff and client profiles. Franchise networks pay extra per separately owned location. The branded app has a one-time setup fee. 7-day free trial. |
| Fees added to what families pay | None from BackPR. | No Pike13 fee to families published. Businesses on the Celero surcharging gateway can add a fee to credit card payments to offset processing costs; surcharging is listed on every plan. |
| Payment fees | Stripe's standard processing rates. For nonprofits, BackPR adds nothing on top. | Not published. Pike13 isn't a payment processor: you sign up with one (Celero is its preferred partner; Stripe, EVO, Paysafe and IntegraPay also work), and each processor sets its own fees. |
| Contract | No long-term contract. Cancel anytime with no exit fees. | Billed monthly or yearly, but subscriptions are annual contracts that renew automatically. Canceling takes 30 days' notice and a short exit interview, and canceling before the renewal date costs 50% of the remaining contract balance. No refunds for past periods. |
| Onboarding and data import | Free, including data import. | A dedicated onboarding specialist guides setup for the first 4 weeks and imports active clients, passes and plans from Excel or CSV files. Onboarding fees aren't published; moving saved payment details may cost extra, depending on the processor. |
| Spanish for families | Yes. | Not published. A business-wide language setting localizes the site, but the help center doesn't list which languages are available. |

Where BackPR is different:
- **Free for nonprofits:** Nonprofits pay nothing to BackPR. Pike13 starts at $139 a month billed yearly; it offers nonprofits a discount through sales and doesn't publish the amount.
- **No annual contract:** BackPR has no long-term contract, so you can cancel anytime with no exit fees. Pike13 subscriptions are annual contracts that renew automatically. Canceling takes 30 days' notice, and canceling before the renewal date costs 50% of the remaining contract balance.
- **E-signed waivers included:** Parents sign waivers, photo releases and medical forms online, and you can require any of them before registration finishes. Pike13's waivers start with the Advanced plan, $195 a month billed yearly before any nonprofit discount, with one adult and one guardian waiver per business.
- **Registration in English and Spanish:** Families can register and manage their account in English or Spanish. Pike13 doesn't say which languages its client pages support.

What Pike13 does well: Pike13 handles classes, courses and appointments with automated waitlists, family accounts where parents pay for their children's services, recurring billing and payment plans, client and staff apps, kiosk check-in with QR codes and automatic no-show alerts to parents, and skill tracking on Premium. Every plan includes unlimited staff and client profiles and a dedicated onboarding specialist.
