Eventbrite is an event ticketing and registration platform with a marketplace where people find events. It's free for events with free tickets; on paid tickets, buyers pay Eventbrite's ticketing fees by default, and nonprofits get no discount on those fees. BackPR is free for nonprofits, never adds its own fee to what families pay, and is built for youth program registration.

Where BackPR is different:
- **No BackPR fee added to what families pay:** BackPR never adds its own fee to what families pay; card processing runs at Stripe's standard rates, which you absorb or pass on. Eventbrite's ticketing fees, 3.7% + $1.79 per ticket plus 2.9% per order in the US, are paid by buyers by default or come out of your payout if you absorb them.
- **Free for nonprofits:** Nonprofits pay nothing to BackPR. Eventbrite doesn't reduce its ticketing fees for nonprofits, though donation tickets carry a lower rate.
- **Registration in English and Spanish:** Families can register in English or Spanish. On Eventbrite, each event page has a single language setting, and titles, descriptions and ticket names aren't translated.
- **Built for youth programs:** BackPR has family accounts with several children and one checkout, e-signed waivers, rosters, and check-in and check-out with authorized pickup. Eventbrite is built for selling tickets to events.

What Eventbrite does well: Eventbrite is free for events with free tickets and reaches people through its event marketplace. It has waitlists, reserved seating, mobile check-in with its organizer app, email campaigns and 24/7 chat support for paid events.
